Facilities and cleanliness. Good size for 4 people. Pet friendly. Parking at property. Having easy and secure access. The owner was welcoming and there to greet us. We were given a nice tour and told how things worked. Great information before arrival. Owner was very responsive.

Could tell it had been cleaned before we arrived and everything was exactly as described. Also noticed the owner had taken onboard previous improvement requests as certain things that people commented on as missing were included in our stay (such as a bath mat for example).

The property was beautiful, well located and beautifully appointed. Spacious and close to lovely pubs and walks. The host, Donna, was really friendly and prompt to reply to messages and the little extras in the cottage were very nice. We stayed as a couple with 2 large dogs and there was plenty of room for us all.

Good location for us. Bright clean, comfortable room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast and dog friendly in the real sense. We have often booked accommodation that says it is, and then we find that it is certainly not. This hotel has been the exception, and we all enjoyed it.
Location was great and nice to have private space and somewhere to park the car. Dog friendly, my boy had the best first few days away. Clean, great shower. Great location if you want to do plenty of walking. Local shops within walking distance. All amenities.

The whole place is just perfect. Exceptionally clean throughout and nothing else you could want to make the stay more comfortable. Communication amazing before we arrived. Loved the little touches left in the fridge and on the side. Truly a home from home. Perfect place to spend the New Year and the location is perfect for many walks in the area. Dog friendly and you wouldn't know that any other dogs have even been in the cottage
Non pretentious … good staff . Nice spa and treatments . Food excellent. Mostly dog friendly. Good rooms ground floor for dog but take your own bedding for pet and bowls doggy bags etc.
Next to car park lots of land for dog to go. Nice walk by canal only 10 mins walk from hotel. Can walk to chesterfield and back .. restaurant area for dogs nice. Food was excellent and i had two dine in room nights also . Room service excellent. Ran back and forth to get me ice /tea bags etc… with a smile.
Wonderful experience here. We made the booking at 2 hours notice due to issues with other plans and the owners welcomed us into a warm and comfortable apartment which has everything we needed.
There are some great dog walking places / public footpaths / reservoirs and it's a very dog friendly location. All-in-all, just perfect.
Having the owners next door was helpful if we had any questions and £30 for a dog to stay is great value:)
great location and very clean, great for a walking holiday and only 10 minutes by car to Matlock , lovely pub near by the Tansley taven serving great food , the cottage is dog friendly and there was some cake on arrival and some dog treats for the dogs
