Loved the "new" look but found that some of the work was not done as nicely as it could have been. Also, I did not like the lighting as far as lighting up the whole room.

The location of this property is wonderful and you could not ask for a more stunning view. We stayed in the Hemlock Suite for 3 nights. It was comfortable and clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. Next time we will try the Cedar Room as it looks bigger with a sofa/living room area. The host, Michiko, is lovely and makes a delicious breakfast you can enjoy in your suite or at the common room dining table. We enjoyed the common sitting areas outside as well as off our own private balcony. If the weather would have been better we would have loved to have a fire down on the beach, but it rained for most of our stay. We were given a huge gift seeing two bald eagles in the tree as we sat on the common area deck. Amazing!

it was very spacious and very well stocked in the kitchen with everything you would need to cook - we didn’t. 2 bathrooms was a luxury and the bed very comfortable. all in all a positive surprise

Really lovely place to stay with a view over the water in Ucluelet. Saw lots of wildlife from the balcony. Comfortably fit the 5 of us across the 2 bedrooms and sofa bed plus a little dog. It rained for most of our 2-night stay but we made good use of the large table for board games and well-equipped kitchen for cooking meals. We all enjoyed taking it in turns on the indoor hammock.

It was clean, comfortable, spacious and had almost everything except for a stove and full oven. We brought along our multi-functional rice cooker to prepare meals which worked well for our family. The house felt very welcoming and at such good value compared to the other motels and cottages in Ucluelet. It is also close to Big Beach which is another bonus.

The location was stunning and easy to get everywhere. The rooms were all very clean as well as the tub outside! The view was spectacular. The staff vey friendly. Love that this place is pet friendly!
The lodge was well-situated for our purposes. The room was comfortable. The communication (both email and message) from the staff before arrival was exceptional. Staff at booking-in were welcoming, friendly and extremely informative about the area, place to visit and choices of restaurants. We were apprehensive about booking a pet-friendly room (it was the only one available) but the room was perfectly clean with no pet traces at all. Rooms are not serviced but that suited us. We really enjoyed our short stay.

On the plus side, the cabin beds were comfortable and cozy, it had a gas cooker to use, there were some nice views, and when we showed up too late to get dinner, Eden provided me with some food I could prepare. The resident cats and dogs are lovely.
