Set in Dowlais, 39 km from Cardiff University, Lady Charlotte Guest rooms triple rooms offers accommodation with a garden, free private parking and a terrace. We had breakfast at the Lady Charlotte Café and the staff and food was just lovely. Couldn’t recommend it more. Our Wales road trip was off to the best start.

With a traditional restaurant and cosy bar, the Green Acre Motel offers free parking and cooked breakfasts. The M4 motorway and picturesque Porthcawl are just 5 minutes’ drive away. Wow what a gem, this is one of the nicest places, that we have stayed at. Can fault nothing. 10 stars.

Set in Cowbridge, 21 km from Cardiff Castle, Cowbridge Cabins offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. I couldn't find it at first but i called the telephone number provided and a kind gentleman gave me directions. The location was fantastic, very peaceful. I would definitely stay again.

Set in St Clears, 30 km from Tenby, Forge Motel & Firehouse Restaurant offers a restaurant. The lodge offers a flat-screen TV and a private bathroom with shower. kettle are featured. Really good facilities and the pool and sauna was excellent
