Hometowne Studios by Red Roof Winston-Salem - University Pkwy, hotel in Winston-Salem

This Hometowne Studios by Red Roof Winston-Salem - University Pkwy is located in Winston-Salem and especially designed for longer stays, with all rooms featuring a fully equipped kitchen.

I booked this property because it was close to the coliseum. Pictures looked decent and it was reasonably priced for the one night stay we needed. Staff seemed nice enough with hassle free check in/check out.

The check in was easy and quick. The included breakfast was one of the best I have ever seen. The had a lot of hot breakfast choices. Also the bagels were excellent and the choice of Yogurts were exceptional. The orange juice was the best I have ever had a this type of motel.

The location was horrible. It was in the horrible part of town. The breakfast in the pictures was nonexistent, they had stale cereal, instant grits, and maybe six pieces of bread to make toast. The orange juice machine was broken along with every ice machine in the motel. No kidding.

Breakfast was about average for a motel. Most all choices were sugar and nothing diabetic. Location was good.

They cancel my reservation and I didn’t even know until I got there. The place was under new management and the hotel was horrible. It looked like a motel. Never will stay there. I had to book another hotel due to cancellation from them and not letting us know.

The place is a run down motel. AC unit was filthy; two lamps didn't work one of which hung loosely from the bed side wall and it's wall plug was cut off. The place was a real shit hole the only thing missing were cum stains on the sheets!!
