The rooms have definitely been redone by the new owners, we rented two king suites and a 2 bedroom suite. My friends loved their king suites, indicating they were nice and spacious and they had a couch as well making the room feel more homey.
I stayed in the 2 bedroom suite with my fiancé and another couple, the room was very spacious and made it easy for the entire group to spend time together and not be sitting on just beds and feeling cramped. The bathroom was large and the bed although claimed as a queen was truly a king, the second room had two relatively large twin beds which we were able to move together to make a bigger bed.
The couch however had barely any cushion spring to it, it was very hard when you sat down. We did want to see how it folded out to a bed and that was pretty neat, but you'd have to be a person to prefer a very firm mattress to sleep on it.
The room had a toaster, microwave, a table for 4, and a small refrigerator, a coffee table, and 2 tvs (one in the main room and one in the main bedroom).
Outside was nice and quiet most of the time with tables outside your room to sit at and Saturday night more people arrived and the area was a bit more peppy with other guests outside as well.
This is my second time staying here, and I can tell you there were vast improvements made in the rooms, the first time under former ownership the rooms looked liked you stepped into the late 80s early 90s era and they lacked many modern amenities. But this time I felt like I was staying in a modern room that was more clean and spacious.

Although Windrift is considered being a Motel, it offers all standards. The rooms are extremely clean (so is the pool area), the bathroom well maintained. The beds are super comfortable. The staff is amazing - even though we checked in very late, they were waiting for us and stayed very friendly, kind and helpful.
Everything was great. The room looked nice (more bright and more inviting than other motels - it was recently renovated). Nice big TV- we plugged in our Roku in the TV and felt like we were home. The bed was very comfortable. The location is perfect. There were two pools: one for small kids/ toddlers. The staff was friendly. The price was amazing. We couldn’t have asked for more.
the room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. The motel was close to many stores , restaurants and the beach. I would book this motel this motel again without hesitation.
Fun motel with great pool and free bikes. The reception lady was very friendly and gave us great information about the hotel and area. We used the free bikes to cycle to the nearest beach which was an easy, flat 15 minutes ride and definitely worth it.
We used the pool which stays open till 10pm so enjoyed our evening swim.
The room was spacious and clean.
Good parking. Free ice for coolers. Newly remodeled and decorated. Super friendly staff. Best experience so far with this motel. Plan to come back next year!
