Looking for a motel?
Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.

Nice wooden cabin with private porch and chairs. Friendly host (and cat) to welcome us :). The cleanest bathroom facilities I have ever seen! Breakfast offered with fruit and homemade cakes, which you can eat on the picknick tables next to the goats and lamas :). Outside games available. We had a great overnight stay on the road to Yellowstone!

Very Clean and relatively updated for an older motel. We've stayed in much worse places, for sure! The beds were comfortable and the shower was nice.

This motel prioritizes cleanliness and convenience for park explorers. It's a good option for a no-frills stay near Yellowstone, but keep in mind the average beds and potentially quirky shower situation. Drive to Yellowstone lake takes about 1.2 hours.

This lodge was such a pleasent surprise - I was very hesitant to book a room w/o ensuite bathroom but the bathroom was very clean and the lodges really quite cute. The breakfast that was advertised as no breakfast was better than in some motels that claim to serve breakfast; there were croissants, donut holes, cereal, different types of milk, cocoa, fruit, even hard boiled eggs, coffee of course and a quite decent tea selection from Twinnings (and others).

Good facilities, nice location and the perfect place to stretch your legs and relax after a long trip on the road. The cabins were comfortable with all you need for good nights of sleep. I liked the hot tub and the cabin rooms. The motel room was horrible and bed was not comfortable so we moved into cabin. Also a cat went right inside our room and jumped on bed and made us itchy so we moved rooms.
