Was needing just a good night's sleep to continue traveling in the morning, that wasn't too pricey. We found the Desert Inn to fit all of our needs, was clean and comfortable. The Staff was very friendly and accommodating, and he even gave me directions on where to get a quick bite to eat. The price was very reasonable. I would definitely stay there again, if I had the opportunity.

I liked everything so I came back from my trip to California and am staying another night.
Van Horn Municipal Golf Course is less than 10 minutes’ walk from this motel. It offers a microwave and fridge in every room and serves a "grab and go" breakfast.

Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.
1950s style single story, small motel. Has been remodeled and the outside has a modern look. The room though small was clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly.
This motel is in a run down section along a highway with many businesses nearby closed forever. The motel is old, with older furniture, but everything is clean and works. So if you're looking for a good night's sleep (there is a train running through behind the property but it will not make you relive the scenes in My Cousin Vinny), a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, a functioning fridge and TV, this will meet your expectations and offer value.
The best part about this place is the price - 32$ including tax is insane. And despite the low price you get everything you accept from a motel including fridge, microwave, comfortable bed, proper shower with toiletries. Some more expensive motels don't have those.
Nicest Motel 6 I've stayed in. Clean, comfortable and with helpful, friendly staff. One could hear the trains as they went by, but this is the case for all of the motels in Van Horn, Texas. It didn't disturb my sleep.
New renovated rooms….some. The staff is the saving grace of this place. Friendly, polite and respectful. This is how motel staff should be, attentive, polite and awesome. The motel will be great once they finish remodeling the remaining rooms. Close to dining.

This is a great, old time motel in a small town that is very reasonable, safe and you get a good nights sleep without spending a lot on a hotel room, like at most other hotels
The motel was in a good location, nothing fancy about the place, Felt safe, beds were comfortable, The Heater/ AC ran all night and was a bit noisy and I didn’t mine the train passing or whistle blowing. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Booked a single bed because that was what was offered, requested a double bed when I checked in and was given one , she was happy to accommodate me.
