Looking for a motel?
Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.

Charming ‘50’s motel with modern sensibility. Owner bought this old motel last year and completely refurbished it. He takes pride in maintaining the ‘50’s vibe (aqua fridge, yellow hair dryer 😀) while modernizing the bathroom, flooring, and welcomes suggestions. He also gave great recommendations on restaurants and ways to experience Traverse City.

We found Grand Traverse Motel to be one of the cleanest we have ever stayed in. The area and room were very quiet.

The hotel is clean enough, it's in a safe neighborhood and a very good value for the area. It is in the heart of Traverse City very close to the water. Limited parking- no trailer parkin, but there are safe parking lots close enough for overnight parking. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast was good enough. I will definitely return and recommend it for what it is, a very good budget motel. Wishing you good travels. 😊 Terry

Everything was amazing. The breakfast was great even for a Friday morning. Most of the motels that we go to tend to skimp on breakfast during the week and only put out partial's this location did not they put everything out just like it was on a weekend day.

I just love this place. It is not a chain motel and have stayed there more than once. It is always very clean, love the kitchenette, price is WAY good, staff always congenial. Great "bang for your buck"! Nice location to get to restaurants, attractions or just sightseeing. Bathroom a little small, but to be expected with older facility, always super clean. Heat works great! have not stayed there in summer so don't know about A/C.

The coffee was excellent and not the coffee they are required to use. They should not be penalized for using a good coffee company. You should please the customer and coffee is a minor cost. I appreciate they still use good coffee regardless that they get docked by corporate. That is sad.
