Good sized room with fridge and microwave. Clean bathroom with toiletries etc. Having a table and chairs was a bonus. Breakfast simple but good. We only stayed one night but would have been happy to stay longer.

I liked the view of the ocean from the room's balcony, the mini-kitchen and the feel of older, better times when my husband and I traveled the coast of Maine. I appreciate that the motel is privately run, and not part of a chain.

Beautifully appointed - everything felt high-end. Well thought-out, very comfy beds, gorgeous shower.
Grassy seating and fire-pit area would have been a great place to relax if we hadn't been out of season.
It's on a main road but careful planting of high trees minimises awareness/noise.
Next door is the best recommended eatery in the area, Southport Kitchen + Bar, but book ahead - in demand!
Just 20 mins drive to Plymouth, 5 mins to Rye beach (much nicer than the crowded Hamptons, we thought.)

The staff was friendly, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Air conditioner was very good as it was unusually hot weather. There was lots of room, a fridge and microwave were in the supplied as well. The decor is a little dated, but we had a nice stay. We would stay there again for sure.
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.

So much to love: looks brand new in every way, fantastic mattress and bedding and thick fluffy towels. Excellent bright daylight lighting in the bathroom. Wall plug in outlet has the room smelling as good as it looks. Beautiful colors and decor. Cannot say enough great things about this place. Wish there were more hotels and motels that cared so much about their property, reputation, and customers!!
This motel is wonderfully restored and renovated. When I was growing up in the '70s, my family and I traveled all over the US and often stayed at motels. So, staying at the Inn at Rye Place was very nostalgic for me, but this Inn is sooo much nicer than any motel I ever stayed at while growing up. Well done!
it is a lovely, totally remodeled motel. everything you need is in the room, especially outlets for all your electronics. it has a great area with outdoor seating areas around fire pits. we travel a lot and this this is a gem. we will always stay here on our way to Maine. love that the owner used environmental options when possible.
This motel was such a nice surprise! Very clean, comfortable, and great location. The grounds were very well kept. Our family would definitely stay here again in the future!
