The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
The room was very clean and comfortable. The area felt safe and the motel was located close to many restaurants, stores and gas stations. The staff was also friendly. Wished we would have tried the diner at the motel but hopefully we will next visit. The price was extremely reasonable and it was only 16 minutes from Deep Creek State Park. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone wanting to stay right outside of Deep Creek. Perfect place!
Convenient location, great proximity to the essentials, easy parking, super nice and very accommodating front desk, clean room, clean beds, clean bathroom. Surprisingly nice fixtures. Plenty of space, lots of light/lighting, and a handful of amenities I hadn't expected to find at a motel. Priced right, great value.
Little to like about Oakland motel. Smily and rundown room where we couldn’t even lock the door properly as the bolt was missing. Luckily got moved to the sister motel, Oak-Mar, that offered a reasonably safe and pleasant environment, however a room with double beds instead of a king bed was the only option. Appreciate the front desk offering at least this option. Otherwise, we would have had to look for another hotel.

We have stayed many times at Oak Mar Motel. Personnel are always friendly and accommodating. Our hotel room was very clean and the beds are comfortable. Easy access to Oakland, MD and Deep Creek Lake.
Hard to find a minimally decent motel in this rural area. Reviews said Oxford Motel was clean and it was one of the cleanest I’ve stayed at. Comfortable bed. Friendly, helpful staff. Convenient to restaurants and Walmart. Microwave and fridge.
Room was one of the cleanest I have ever stayed in. The owner  was the individual who checked me in and had to be one of the nicest people at a motel that I have ever talk to. I would highly recommend for anybody to stay at this motel.
We had a wonderful two-night stay at the motel and couldn't be more pleased. Our room was not only spacious, comfortable, and impeccably clean, but it also exuded a warm and cozy atmosphere. The motel's surroundings, adorned with beautiful flowers and seasonal decorations, added to the overall charm. The owners were exceptionally friendly and hospitable, making our stay here an absolute pleasure.
