Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.
Upcycling an old motel is a worthy endeavor and I'll support that everyday. I've wanted to stay there ever since I saw the roof decked out in solar panels, the brightly colored decor and flags, and the vintage ski art...and it's nice. The location by far is the best of any to Gore Ski are (nordic or alpine), and it has a great restaurant/bar in the backyard. They also have two, very underutilized (read as never a line) car charging ports which is quite convenient. And the WiFi was rock solid!
