Red Roof Inn & Suites Newport - Middletown, RI, hotel in Newport

Featuring 2-star accommodations, Red Roof Inn & Suites Newport - Middletown, RI is located in Middletown, 4.1 miles from International Tennis Hall of Fame and 4.5 miles from Rosecliff Mansion.

When I book this motel it does not show the breakfast included. When I check-in the reception told me it was including breakfast. I was surprised. This is a 2-star motel but worth more than 3 stars.

Scarborough Beach Motel, hotel in Newport

Just steps from Scarborough State Beach, this motel offer rooms with a microwave and refrigerator. Free parking is also available. Adventureland Amusement Park is 3 miles away.

Front desk was very friendly and welcoming. I stayed during the late Fall season, so the area was quiet (not beach season). It was relaxing without any hassles. Across from the motel was the state beach. Even in a cold weather season, it was nice to talk to the beach and enjoy the breathtaking view of sunset/sunrise. The room was specious and very clean. Microwave, mini-fridge and coffee maker were in the room, so that was helpful to prepare a quick meal. Air conditioner was a bit loud but it didn't bother me after all. If Kleenex tissue was in the room, that would have been nice. There was nothing to complain about my stay, and I would definitely stay again!

There was no breakfast but that's Ok- I bought some food at Stop & Shop. The staff member came to my room after she got off work and helped me adjust the TV so could watch the baseball game. The room was ultra clean and there was an adjustable AC unit in the room which was easy to change, The parking was free unlike Motel 6 which had no parking.

Great location, walking distance to the port area. Free parking. The room had space, was very clean, small breakfast and the best thing (for me...) the dispenser candies 🤣 The bed was the best one we had in the US!!!!!

This motel has the potential to be quite charming. The bed was good, the ac worked well, and the shower was great. The room was clean as well. We liked that the mini fridge had a freezer. But for the price we paid, we expect we expected at least plastic or styrofoam cups in the room, Kleenex, and working vending and ice machines, and a hair dryer. The instructions for getting into wifi were wrong! And when we tried to get cups at 10:00 pm, nobody was in the lobby - also true when we attempted to check out.

Despite all the bad reviews we've had a good 3 nights in this motel, so I want to raise their ratings. Good value for money, clean room, cheerful and nice staff. Plenty of parking, even though Booking.com says there's none. Situated conveniently next to a laundry and shopping center.
