Looking for a motel?
Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.

very cute! obviously recently renovated, im excited for when they get some art on the walls. I wish it were cheaper so I was more likely to stay again, but I understand that doing reno of an old motel is pricey! nectar mattresses, comfy pillows, lovely oak trees in the back. highway 12 isn't **too** loud, tho it's not a quiet retreat vibe. low scents! I am scent sensitive and didn't have any issues at all. will reccomend!

The motel is exactly as described, its location is very convenient, it's close to many beautiful lake beaches apart from a couple of nice towns. The bed was incredibly comfortable. We stayed an extra night and the staff was very nice and considerate when we asked for the same room. I will get back for sure!

Al and Sally’s Motel was perfect for our little getaway. Our room was very cute. We loved the backyard and the fireplace in front of the building.

I stayed with my dog and enjoyed the park-like area behind the motel that had picnic tables and a kids' playground.

It was a bare bones, no-frills motel room. Very old motel. Only two stories with doors opening to the parking lot. We were on the second floor, and the exterior stairs were rusty and decrepit. The room was very old, but clean. It had a hot shower, a comfortable bed, and working heater/air conditioner unit. Those three features were sort of our minimum requirement for a one night stop during a road trip.

In progress renovation of an old 1960’s style roadside motel. Good job so far, but more work to do. Comfy new beds and clean bedding. Pet friendly. Staff not on premises really, but very responsive to text messages. We would stay again and encourage their efforts to recover the motel scene!

The check in was a breeze. Room was comfortable and mostly as described- except I think it was a full, not a queen bed. Also, no mention of the train passing by right behind the motel. I also liked the little kitchen area.

There was a problem with the plumbing. We had to change rooms twice as the toilet didn't work. The room we got was nice but the shower was not hot. The rooms are really cute, but they need to update the plumbing. This hotel is managed remotely. If they had someone on-site they would have caught this before we checked in.

We liked the location of the motel. It was near the lake and the scenery was beautiful. We were able to find this place at the last minute and it met our needs.
