Island Motel was a gem of a place to stay . The room had everything we could have wanted and was immaculately clean and spacious. The hosts were so welcoming and friendly and gave excellent recommendations for dinner in the local area. Access to water, bags of ice and complimentary hot drinks was a lovely touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and wished we were there for longer. Would absolutely recommend.
The staff was especially great! This is a darling motel situated so close to all the shops in manteo. The room was very clean and they even had an outside bonfire for evening relaxation.
The location was convenient to the area we wanted. The manager was accommodating when we asked to change rooms because it smelled like smoke. The new owner is making an effort at revitalizing the motel.
I thought the motel was exactly as described. It is not a luxury resort, so I can't rate the accodations as excellent. but it was clean and well kept. And, you can't beat the location.
The video check-in/out was a new thing for me, but the clerks were friendly and efficient.
Clean and reasonably comfortable room for a one to two star motel. Excellent location if you want to walk to the music park. There is also a shuttle across the street at the school that will pick you up and drop you off. We will stay here again if we go to another show at the venue.
