We had a great view of Mono Lake from our room and also enjoyed hearing nearby Lee Vining Creek. Our room was spacious, quiet, comfortable and included outdoor sitting outside our room. We would definitely stay at Yosemite Gateway again.

Communication with the hotel was excellent. We were anticipating a late check-in so we let them know beforehand, and when we arrived they had left us self-check-in instructions at the front. We were exhausted from a long day out climbing so the smooth process was much appreciated. Location is also great - we walked to a breakfast cafe in the neighborhood the next morning before checking out.

Quaint old school motel with a personality, a view on Mono Lake, 10 minutes away from Yosemite. A small non-publicized breakfast you can eat out on the porch while soaking in Mono Lake. We had the 6 person two-room, was really great. The staff was very friendly.
A very simple lodging with no frills in a very small town. Most guests are just passing through so the other motel options have poor customer service as they will never see you again. Not this place! They are gracious and accommodating.
The room was clean, comfortable, and quiet. It had all the ameneities we needed for a good night's rest. The motel was easy to find and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Although the room was small it was clean and ok for one night. Not so easy to find a lot of Motels in this area, so at the end althoug place is no perfect we were fine with it.
There is very little in Lee Vining but our host was very friendly and the location was very good. The motel's site says to ring if going to be late to arrive because the place closes about 8pm. the only trouble was that from Las Vegas to Lee Vining we could not find cell/mobile phone reception to be able to ring ahead. Fortunately we arrived early enough to be able to obtain checkin without difficulty. Room was good, host very friendly and would stay here again.
A good stopover after a day in Yosemite. Basic motel accommodation but clean and comfortable. Ate well at Niceleys in the evening.
Make sure to visit Mono Lake and the tufas.
