Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.
I didn’t like anything about that Motel 6. We didn’t even stay. We checked and looked at the room and left the person on duty said that we were going to get a refund. I called up the next morning and lo and behold. The manager hasn’t been seen or heard from in a week and they said to call back and talk to the person that I talked to the night before and he said the same thing he just said he’ll take my name and number, and when the manager decides to show up and it gets put in, he’ll let me know.
While ☑️ing in the person had grt customer service. 1st rm no heater. Moved. When leaving 4 dinner. There was a person dressed in black. Frightful. Lot of transit, music/veh horns going off till 3. Morning yelled by the employee who took care of breakfast area. I wasn’t the only one. Others were yelled at for yanking door open. I thought it was stuck & waffle maker beeping to turn. IDK. It was once a nice place. It time to find a new motel/hotel.
Our room was spacious, clean, and well-appointed. The bed and pillows were excellent, the provided toiletries were very good, and the shower was wonderful. The hot breakfast had many tasty options, a far better spread than those found in most chain motels.
The staff saved the day. The hotels were all completely booked in the area due to the eclipse (the reason we went too). I booked two rooms, two beds each for two nights and booking.com CANCELED one of the rooms AND changed my remaining reservation to one bed in one room. There were four women in my group. The staff at Motel 6 literally scrambled to save us from having to sleep in the car. Booking.com nearly ruined the entire trip but the staff at the motel saved the day.
To be honest, when I drove up I was concerned that I had booked a motel with outside entrances to rooms. Once I walked into hotel, I was reassured of my safety concerns. What a wonderful hotel. Breakfast had so many choices. Quiet night.
Room clean. Staff friendly and accommodating. My husband was working remotely while we were there and needed several "special" things. The management and staff were all very helpful. We will definitely stay here every time we're in Farmington.
