Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.
Like a trip to the 1950s, old fashioned auto court motel is a genuine period piece. Perhaps not everyone’s preference, but we enjoyed our two night stay very much. Everything was very clean.
It was serene , everything was organized. The pool was nearby the fire pit everything you needed was right close by it kind of brought me back to the 50s and 60s when my parents rented a cottage …I stayed at the motel …Fabulous stay.I will return.Thank you .
We stayed in the motel. It was quiet and peaceful. The room was very clean. The bathroom had the cutest little tub/shower and an abundance of fluffy towels and wash cloths. The owner, Carli was so friendly and accommodating. There are many picnic tables and grills around the property, as well as a gazebo. It's only a few minutes drive to downtown Clayton. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay there again!
The location and setting of the motel was excellent. The room had coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave and also had soap and shampoo in the room. The motel is pet friendly with a reasonable pet fee.
The Clipper Inn is a cute old fashioned motel. The room had a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. There was a queen bed and a single bed. The location was amazing! We were able to walk to the local pizza shop and drive quickly to downtown Clayton where we had a delicious breakfast at Bella's restaurant. We also were able to take advantage of the free family day at the antique boat museum. We attended a wedding in nearby Cape Vincent and the drive there was only 15 minutes. We truly enjoyed our stay!
Location on the River was excellent. This property is beautiful, well maintained, and the owners very accommodating.
We stayed in a small motel room. Plan to return next year, but certainly will stay is a cottage instead.
This place is a gem!
