Looking for a motel?
Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.

Wonderful spot with nice renovations that respect the heritage of the motel with added fun things on property (signage, pirate statue, available bonfire, grills, etc) that make you smile at every turn. Stay made even better by wonderful other guests we met at pool who are repeat visitors. Had pleasure of meeting owner who has made all this happen with her unique vision and hardwork. Will return as soon as we can. . . .

Big, comfortable room and beds. Bathroom is very nice. Everything was clean and you can wash your clothes. On the outside it's a typical motel, but the inside is nice. Very nice beach not far away!

Room was fair for an old motel. Bathroom could not be used due to extreme deterioration and black mold.

It was a step back in time to motels of the mid-twentieth century. Seventeen units with clean, up-to-date conveniences like a coffee maker, fridge and microwave, a pool, and dog walking area. There was a hen house and a bunny house close to the end room and fun to sit by. There's a wonderful place for eating directly across the HW13 and easily accessed. Next time I need to stop on HW13 in VA I will definitely go to Cape Motel. So relaxing after a long drive.

I loved the vintage feel of the motel. It very much felt like a 1950s/60s style motor lodge. The staff were very kind and helpful. There were chickens and bunnies on site, which my daughter very much enjoyed. The pool was the perfect size and we had it virtually to ourselves! I also loved the pink tiles in the bathroom 🙂 Also, we stayed for my daughter’s 10th birthday, so I emailed in advance asking if they could put up a banner and balloons as a surprise. The staff happily obliged. We wouldn’t have gotten that at a larger chain hotel.
