The beds are amazing! We loved the layout of the room and the extra touches (like the ceiling) that made it quaint and cozy and not like a basic hotel room! The location is fantastic! We loved being so close to the ocean and being able to see the lighthouse glow at night!

The facility did not provide clothes hangers and it did not have washing/dryer. The rest were just perfect. We enjoyed a lot.
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
We loved this motel except for the fact that the carpet in Room 112 needs to be cleaned with steam or shampoo. We never walked with wet feet in our room but the bottom of our feet turned black in a fairly short time from the carpet. I first noticed it when I took a shower and black soot covered the bathtub bottom.
The location was a 3 minute walk to the beach. You could see the water from the motel. Also it was very clean. It is an older motel, but has been maintained. Best of all the cost was cheaper than the rest.
Great location, close to beach, Hatteras lighthouse and restaurants. Friendly staff, lots of space to park, fast WiFi. Rooms are standard motel style, somewhat worn, but the Hatteras Island Inn offers good value considering the location. Happy to come back!
The beds were extremely comfortable and the room was clean. Staff was very friendly and even tho they were working remotely, the desk clerk was on point and there was not any waiting for them to return to their console. The hotel is even within walking distance of a decent fishing spot.
Stayed in a rental home rented through surf and sound for a week one lot back from ocean and it was an absolute dive. We’re so pleased to be able to stay in a clean motel with such a wonderful manager
