A USA motel but very clean and well serviced by the staff in the garage on site which has a wide-ranging shop like a supermarket. Fantastic smokey bbq beef from the Copper Tubs grill 1 minute drive down the road - just fantastic. Nice high ceilings, parking by the door. Closest acom to Bristlecone Pines

Staying at the Starlight Motel in Big Pine was the best motel experience I have had in a very long time. The proprietors went out of their way to be friendly, providing a delicious homemade breakfast outside. The motel was a standard small one story drive up to the door type, but the proprietors really went out of their way to make the interior beautiful, including the bedspreads, throw pillows and wall art. Everything worked well (shower, air conditioning...) and the room was quiet.

Very carefully maintained original small motel on the Main Street but very quiet and comfortable. Large parking spot in front of each room. Small table and chairs by each room and nice common area seating with fire pit across from building. Owners are super friendly and they have plans for more upgrades to rooms and amenities. We like Big Pine because it’s less crowded and more affordable than Bishop but close by. We’ll definitely be back.

A pleasant surprise, motel-style, yet spacious, rooms. Very good option for a one night stay or as a base for exploring East Sierras. The motel is located by the gas station but that should not deter you. Staff was very helpful and our room was well-situated away from the highway noise.

The location is brilliant to find in the dark as it’s right on the road by the petrol station and shop. It’s a classic motel, great for a road trip stop, with the bonus of a good comfy bed and nice sheets! The staff were really helpful and the shop is really well stocked.
