Absolutely love the location of the Motel. They are older style units but don't let that fool you. They have been modernised. They are very clean and warm. Owners/Staff are amazing.
The hosts are friendly and the motel is clean and comfortable. Extremely good value for money. Not too far from Blenheim to make this the best value option, especially for families.
We were just passing through - had come across from Wellington on the ferry and we wanted to get close to the Kaikoura coast on the same day. This seemed to be the only motel in Ward and it was fine. We had time to explore the local beach before having a bite to eat at the local shop.
An exceptionally clean & comfortable good old-fashioned motel with very friendly hosts. Only one hour from Picton, so a perfect drive distance after an evening ferry arrival heading south. Also only 15 minutes from Kekerengu store cafe for a nice breakfast the next morning driving south.
The couple who run this motel are extremely hospitable and very welcoming.
The rooms are squeaky clean and spacious.
Beds are comfy too.
We were kindly provided with a safe place to store our bicycles safely inside.

Friendly and helpful service, well-equiped and homely unit, fluffy towels and lovely linen, comfy beds, modern decor, parking for a boat, tasty teas and hot chocolate, spacious unit, a feeling of a well cared for motel. A great location to the Picton Ferries.
Excellent one night stay for our family of five, very comfortable, extremely clean, good WiFi, made to feel ver welcome. Great value, better than many other more expensive motels
