We had an fab stay at The Cliffs which exceeded our expectations for a motel. The room itself was more of an upmarket cabin with a lovely finish.The bed was one of the comfiest beds we have stayed in in New Zealand with stunning views over the Bay. We also thoroughly enjoyed the set menu in the cafe. All round excellent value! Thank you again to our hosts for their warm hospitality.
Had a lovely night at the “Cliffs”, didn’t get to book into the restaurant until late and it was no problem for the couple managing and cooking at the restaurant, the meal was great and lovely food and plenty of it, can really recommend the motel rooms as the view was amazing, well worth the money staying there, great area to look around, particularly the Sea Lions nearby😍
The setting is superb. We stayed in one of the motel units; all the rooms have a stunning view out to sea & easy to follow track to the beach. The hosts are super friendly & great to chat to. Dinner & breakfast were delicious & great choices! The Ukrainian dumplings & sour dough bread were brilliant.
We booked the motel the night before we headed out for the Humpridge Track. Great room with sea view and able to use the Lodge facilities - microwave, kettle, milk, coffee etc:)
The location was stunning. Amazing views from the Motel room. We didn’t eat breakfast or dinner on site - we had dinner in Tuatapere which was only a short drive away. The room was very tastefully decorated and I loved the polished concrete floor. Everything was very clean. Ton was very friendly.
This new, stylish motel located in the country would have to be best value for money in a motel that you can find. Rooms were warm, comfortable, quiet, bed was great and view of the ocean very relaxing. In a city this would be a $300 dollar stay. Stayed the night previous to walking the hump ridge track so the location on the road to track is ideal.
