Nice welcome from motelier at reception. Came to unit to give instructions on how to use TV. Room was clean and comfortable bed. It was a one night stopover en route to Wellington and suitable for a one night stay. I wouldn't say it would be suitable for more than a couple of nights due to small sized room.
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
Immaculately clean, and presented with a lot of pride and attention to detail. Hopwood is a wonderful (and vastly superior) alternative to motels: peaceful, relaxing and with gorgeous views. We were perfectly comfortable despite the cold night, and our host Leah could not have been more welcoming. Highly recommended!
Spacious room, quiet location and enough kitchenware to get us through. The highlight though was the gorgeous motel kitten…she was so friendly even coming into our room, my daughter loved her.
