Loved this place. Cute motel on a family property just of a major road. Host Louise was fantastic. The welcome and interactions made us feel we had known her for years. View to the mountains 10/10. Alpacas and chicken in paddock next to the yard. The Christchurch to Greymouth runs just south of the property. It is the first place ever that we have left a bottle of bubbly to say thanks.
Great motel - very friendly and accomodating managers who were fantastic about clearly communicating the check in instructions. This was particularly important to us given we arived at the accomdation quite late.
Smylies Accomodation was a perfect place for us to stop as a base for exploring Arthur's Pass. Our Motel unit was incredibly spacious with a full kitchen and comfortable furniture. Our hosts were extremely friendly and accommodating, especially their gorgeous cat! We would definitely recommend this place!
Lovely layout. Felt like a cosy bachelor pad. The kitchen and bathroom looked new and well-designed. Loved the soaps provided -- almost spa-like! I got the room with the spa bath but didn't have the time or energy to try it. And Amber was just charming. Took the time to chat and tell us what to expect. The motel was within walking distance of food joints, too.
Warm, comfortable accommodation. Extremely comfortable bed. Lovely setting with delightful views of the mountains. The Motel is west facing, the afternoon sun on the deck and in the motel was a delight on an autumn day. Lovely rural setting, relaxing and quiet.
the room had been renovated beautifully, the kitchen was incredible for a motel unit, it was so quiet, the spa bath was so relaxing and the host was so nice, even got a better room than what I had booked
