Waiouru Welcome Inn, hotel in Ohakune

Located in Waiouru, 44 km from Turoa, Waiouru Welcome Inn provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The motel features family rooms.

Nice welcome from motelier at reception. Came to unit to give instructions on how to use TV. Room was clean and comfortable bed. It was a one night stopover en route to Wellington and suitable for a one night stay. I wouldn't say it would be suitable for more than a couple of nights due to small sized room.

Tongariro Springs Boutique Suites, hotel in Ohakune

Tongariro Springs Boutique Suites is located in Tongariro National Park.

Room was small as expected after reading the other reviews. The pool could be used once you had removed the cover. The spa had hot water but jets were still not working. Management said thanks for letting them know. Other guests had already done that a few weeks ago. The property was fine for a few days to be active and explore the National Park as long as you had prepared for the available facilities (e.g. microwave only, kitchen was only cleaned by guests) but with a bit more TLC and guest mindset it would be a truly outstanding place.

Our two bedroom unit had a perfect view of Mt. Ruapehu from the main room which very few hotels in Ohakune can claim to offer because of the unique location of our motel and the double bedroom units.

Located at Ohakune Junction, this motel complex offered a well priced option for a short stay. Great to allow pets (at additional cost). Helpful staff were accommodating, and helped us with an extra heater.

Super clean and warm and Dara was amazingly accommodating as was Scott. Incredibly grateful for a fabulous stay & wish I had more time to chill in the lovely studio. Gorgeous cat Stripes was the star of the show and a lovely homely touch to a fantastically located motel. Highly recommend staying here if you’re ever in Ohakune.

We did not eat there. We were in a small group on motorcycles. The facilities suited our trip perfectly. We did not wish to pay a lot for our overnight and were happy with the style of accommodation. The drying room was really handy as we had gotten wet on the road.

We arrived at Ohakune Railway Station and looked at our transport options which were very limited. We called the accommodation to ask for advice and the owner - Denis - said he would be right over to pick us up - how kind. The room was just lovely and had a kitchenette so we could cater for ourselves. The motel had a hot tub which we used on both nights of our stay - just great. Ohakune was a great little town and we enjoyed our stop off here very much.

Insane value for your money. Had the twin room with bathroom. Cute kitchenette included, good beds, warm. Free parking included. The Café downstairs has fair prices for what you can get and the personnel is super friendly. We Germans don't say "Amazing!" very often, but when we do, we mean it. Cheers and thanks for having us.

Awesome bed, really comfortable. The location is great in that I could walk to the town centre in less than five minutes. I really liked the view of Mt Tongariro from my window. Great value for a one-night stay. Attractive colour scheme and art work. Restaurants suggested, including a 10% discount for motel guests from memory. Free parking outside my room was great.
