Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
The property is really well located. We upgraded on arrival from a lodge room to a motel unit and this was perfect for our family. The owner was lovely and greeted us at reception. The motel unit was well set up, and lovely and warm.
Incredible staff at this motel. Breakfast and also check in staff were very very friendly and helpful.
Rooms were big and in good condition.
Spa pool free off charge was nice too.
An absolute gem. It’s a characterful motel style lodge accommodation and superbly appointed full kitchen and comfortable bed and wonderfully helpful and pleasant host. Great location for doing the crossing and relaxing afterwards !
A great motel in the National Park village, very close to the convenience store and a pub with great dining preferences. Shuttle buses to Tongrariro Alpine Crossing stop just round the corner. An advice to you to pick a room with a view, it is definitely worth it!
Absolutely amazing stay. Room was clean and nice. Big double bed and one single bed. Really nice kitchen with all you need to prepare your food. A lot of fridges to storw your food. Shuttle bus for Tongariro Alpine crossing stops hear. Free parking and you can stay here during your hike across Tongariro and take shower after you will come in shared bathroom.
So nice staff in here and very helpful and friendly.
10/10
The room exceeded my expectations, from the photos I wasn't expecting much but it was super clean, comfy bed, powerful shower so couldn't complain at all. The restaurant was cosy for dinner/breakfast and the staff were nice. Free parking and close to the Tongariro crossing.
