Had all the facilities you need for a great stay and look around area including Cape Reinga .
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
The motel was in a perfect position on the waterfront at Mangonui and a very short walk to cafes, bars and shops. The view from the rooms was magnificent...unfortunately, it seems that the motel will be closing and reverting to shops. This would be a disappointment but as it has only a couple of rooms - it may be inevitable.
A comfortable and spacious motel unit with a glorious view. Kitchen was well equipped, good WiFi, comfortable beds. The motel is being renovated. Owner was very helpful.
It was an awesome location with great sea views. The unit was really good with everything you would need. The bed was the most comfortable me and my husband have ever found in any motel we have stayed in, including overseas.
Our stay at Mangonui Motel was above amazing! The staff were the most friendliest people & offered to help our family to carry our luggage back to our van. The views were just breathtaking all day long with a sunset to remember.. The night lights on the harbour waters were the icing on the cake! Thank you
