Fantastic stop over accomodation. Bed very comfortable. Kitchen is just a jug, toaster, mini fridge and microwave. Dishes done camp style in a plastic tub in bathroom. More than adequate. Good sized room and own private outdoor space.
Has a heat/cool pump. Perfect as didn't need to let any bugs in while keeping cool.

The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
Burkes Pass Motel is small and the location is picturesque, but the rooms are well set up and very comfortable. There was everything we needed to prepare an evening meal and we enjoyed our stay here.
We loved the spacious apartment/motel rooms, everything was clean and in good shape, kitchen had everything we needed. Place is probably great to see the stars as well and just a short driving distance from Lake Tekapo.
Everyone there was lovely and accommodating and we even got to hand feed the pet lambs and sheep that lived on the property and had a great chat. The dogs and cat were friendly and cuddly as well. For everyone who wants to stay in the Lake Tekapo area and loves animals this is a unique and great value for money stay!
Megan and her family are really welcoming and it’s evident they care about each guest. They have a lovely garden and sheep on the property which make it feel much less like a motel and more like a country house stay.
Burke's Pass Motel is clean, tidy and has great facilities available for families. Perfect location to stay if you're visiting Mt Dobson or Roundhill, or even as a base for doing a day trip to Aoraki Mt Cook or Tekapo. The unit we stayed in had 2 bedrooms, one with 2 single beds and the other with a queen. Beds were comfy and cosy and rooms were warm. Good size kitchenette and lounge area with T.V. Will definitely stay here again when visiting Mackenzie club fields!! Thank you! :-)
Total stuff up thanks to Booking.com ended up they double booked us. wouldn't trust booking .com unless you like being double booked only thing they did right was refund our deposit I was totally roperable over it had to do Tekapo. then travel back and forwards to Fairlie. Due to their total incompetence ring the Motels or place direct book direct.
We spent just one night in this motel on our way to Christchurch and we rate it very highly. The unit was cosy and warm, the bed very comfortable and we slept well. The hosts are friedly and welcoming. It was extremely good value!
