Loved the price very affordable. Doing a South Island trip this was the cheapest and the biggest motel we stayed in. We liked the space of the room, with a separate kitchen with cooking facilities. How quite the room was because the kitchen and bathroom is on the road side blocking the noise.

The room itself was nice enough Quite new, 2 double beds. Plenty of space. The bloke at reception was clearly having a bad day but was very friendly and apologetic about all the chaos.
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
Very nice location, the motel was very cozy and in addition Betsy, the cat with the nicest fur we have ever seen, was helping to make our stay really enjoyable. She came into the room on invitation only, she was not begging at all. Facilities were exactly what we needed to prepare a breakfast.
We have stayed at the teviot view motel before, but didn't realize that the serviced apartments were related. Excellent service and facilities at both places. There are a few good places to eat nearby but the kitchen facilities are great if you want to eat in.
