We had a great stay here on two occasions. The location is brilliant, less than a minute's walk from the city walls. The staff were really nice, the rooms were clean, and the free parking was very useful.

On Bishopthorpe Road, opposite the very good Winning Post pub, and walkable to both the City Centre and the University. The rooms were comfortable and were equipped with the essentials. Free parking on the road can be arranged.

Great location, very clean and all facilities were present. There wasn’t any noise from the other flats and local shops only a few minutes away. Plenty of free parking on the road.

Emily & Rowan were superb hosts. They answered all my questions before and were quick to help when we had a small issue with the hot water. The house had a superb location in a quiet residential area but still very close to everything. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable (especially the bed which I loved) and beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The bottle of wine and snacks were a lovely touch. Free parking directly on the road in front was a great plus!

Lovely stay, perfect for a night or two in York. Plenty of on the road free parking in a quiet cul de sac. Helpful staff on arrival and check out but didn’t see any in between which was fine for us. 25 min or so walk into the city centre but we got Uber due to partner leg injury and was around £5-£10 Uber depending on time. Easy access in and out. Very clean and tidy room. Very comfortable bed. Quiet and pretty surroundings.

Dan's house was in a quiet location overlooking the river with free parking on the driveway. Could walk into York centre in about 20 minutes via river or on the road. Ideal situation. The house was clean, spacious and well equipped. Dan was a great host.

Location great. Car park very difficult to find and get in and out of but found free parking on the road at the front of the hotel.

The staff are friendly, nothing is too much trouble. The gardens are beautiful. Small car park round the back however if there is no room there is plenty of room on the road, part of which is free parking and further up is 2 hour stay.

Had a lovely stay and the hosts were really friendly and helpful. Free parking on the road outside and everything you needed was provided in the room and it was big enough for us and our Labrador dog. 10 minute walk to the city centre and a big field near the hospital where everyone takes their dogs helped us tire ours out. Will be staying again very soon hopefully and York has lots of dog friendly pubs which was a bonus
