Motel Tornio is in a very old building and that shows: For example the toilet floor was flooding. But the room was good and quiet and the host was extremely friendly. Location was perfect after just crossing the Finnish-Swedish border. Price to quality ratio was good.
Sauna was superb, a kitchen for every floor and the room was essential but cosy, with a small fridge, very useful. The motel is close to a big road but I didn't hear a noise. Supermarkets are nearby.
The worst in the whole world anybody can imagine. Everywhere dirty, smelly, mold & smoke, bedsheets, blanket everything is unthinkably dirty & smelly. We were two families with children booked four family room. Everybody started itching skin, breathing heavy, uncomfortable and threw up, headache & the youngest one fainted. We left the motel and went inside our cars, cancelled the Motel Tornio but didn’t get payback one single kr
Historical building with interesting decor. Welcoming, chatty, and lovely ladies working at this hotel. Spacious room and comfortable beds. Slippers and kettle were provided. Heating worked well. Free parking at the back of the hotel. Shopping mall across the street. We would definitely return if in the area again.
