Looking for a motel?
Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.

Property is dated but the location is okay. Not remotely close to being worth what the price is in peak season.

It was an old-school motel, probably built in the 60s or 70s, but well maintained, very clean and the guests were quiet. I must be getting old but I appreciated using the Lazyboy and watching NHL on TV. It was recently renovated and had a decent bathroom and a small kitchenette with a real stove. Quite nice really. I could stay there for a while.

The character and style of the Cedarwood is emulates a older style motel with benefits that reflect earlier times. It being sold and no doubt will be pulled down to make for new ugly condos and density of immigrants

Handy location in downtown Sidney, so about 10 minutes from the airport. Free parking, close walk to the oceanfront and grocery store. Very very clean, lots of pillows, nice bedding, comfortable beds. Decent spread for simple breakfast on the go. Very friendly and helpful staff, and excellent value for money spent (a room at the hotel across the street would have been double the cost of our room).

It is a Motel-type of place, and the "gardenview" is in reality facing the parking lot. With this said, it is a positive rating. Very nice walk along the shore to Sidney just on the other side of the road.

Our room was dated but clean. The bed was very comfortable. The front staff were friendly and welcoming. The location and free parking were wonderful. Breakfast was good and self-serve.

They upgraded my room on check-in at my request. We did have an ocean view across a parking lot. I did feel that it was a motel trying desperately to be an Inn, and the whole place needed some TLC. Though a reno was underway, which I assumed was to be the breakfast room. The upgrades in the room were fine, but the downside was that there was less space to move around and reduced closet space.
