There’s a restaurant at the Motel where we enjoyed dinner. We didn’t have breakfast but there’s a lovely café on site. There’s a Guest Laundry which we used.

Friendly and helpful staff. Room was spacious and had all the facilities we expect from a motel. The location is excellent for our purposes. We have stayed at the Old Maitland Hotel several times and will happily stay again.

The room was clean, it contained a microwave, toaster and kettle, some crockery and cutlery, only one bowl for our breakfast cereal which was inconvenient. The bathroom had an unpleasant odour, possibly coming from the drain but otherwise it was clean and functional. Motel is located very close to a Woolworths supermarket which was handy. Has a security gated entrance into the Motel area.

The most I loved in this place in price. Motel itself is just fine, don’t expect much of comfort or new furniture. Floor was pretty dirty. Overall just fine to spend a night or two max.

from the greeting at check in from Olivia who created the best customer experience and warm welcome to the Hunter Gateway Motel. Even though I am a regular visitor, I was ensured that I was aware of all information required for my stay and confidence I would have a comfortable stay..

You basically get what you paid for. This is a budget motel and the rooms reflect this. Good for a quick overnight stay and was clean with basic facilities. A tad too much road noise and blinds unable to stop outside lighting.

The bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the shower was amazingly hot, and the pressure was on point. The beds were very clean. The motel was in a good location, and it was easy to find. It's probably about a 20-minute drive to the Hunter Valley.
