Looking for a motel?

Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.

Where do I start.? This little motel is punching above its weight. Beautiful clean room, super comfy bed and a really great bathroom with a good hot shower. We utilised the bbq facilities which were terrific and the owner was very accommodating. When I had a question about our stay it was answered quickly and efficiently. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were made to feel very welcome.

On arrival, Jodie, the manager, was very pleasant. Provided good info on where to have dinner - the fuel depot/diner was perfect for a take-away. The A/C filter was clean, a microwave cover was provided and the instructions about washing the dishes, but not putting them away, was how it should be in all motels. We did pay for the upgraded room.

There was a communal area to cook a proper meal if needed plus the normal kettle, microwave and toaster in the room. The owners were very friendly and told us places that did meals and the motel is across the road from a park which is excellent for kids after a long trip.

Wonderful cabin with comfortable beds and very plush towels. Kitchen facilities were clean and adequate for an overnight stay. Free parking right next to our cabin. Hotel directly across the road so didn't have to get back in the car to find an evening meal. Receptionist was very friendly with plenty of advice on breakfast and dinner locations nearby including their opening hours.

The room was huge - I nearly got lost in the bathroom. The managers were lovely, really hospitable, and I discovered from them that there is a gadget for the car called a Roo Shoo which I am going to look into. Anything that might safeguard the native wildlife on the roads is worth a try!
