Fresh clean and comfortable renovated motel style room with ample lounge area and kitchenette. Easy parking at the front of the room. Easy use heating and cooling, and smart TV. Comfortable bed with crisp linen and extra blanket and pillows available. Great shower pressure and no issues with hot water. Easy walk along the lake front to the Warners Bay Hotel and the restaurants in Warners Bay shopping strip. Would stay here again.
Was easy access under the bridge to the lakeside walking path. Coffee hut at the front of the clock was very popular with locals and visitors (we didn't try). Also features a well rated teppanyaki restaurant in the block (again didn't visit).

Although this was a three star rated property, the room was very comfortable and the amenities were aged yet appropriate. The beds were comfortable and equivalent to a 4 or 5 star rated equivalent. Due to the age of the motel building the walls were thick enough to not hear anything from adjoining rooms. The aircon was perfect and much appreciated.
The exceptional value and reasonable pricing of this hotel stood out, especially amidst the inflated rates during the Pink Concert event. The staff were extremely friendly, assisting us in locating public transport, and the food was fabulous - we enjoyed a $10 pizza that we almost couldn’t finish between the two of us. Despite the room being a typical motel setup, it met our expectations precisely as described, and the incredibly tidy accommodations made it easy to overlook any basic amenities.
We stay at this motel yearly when we have an annual get together and have done for the past 5 years. Great older budget friendly motel which is reasonably priced for what it is. You can't hear the traffic from the highway. Our room has a comfy queen size bed and table & chairs. There's a kettle, toaster, tea & coffee & cookies. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are a few typical bar meals, (pizza and fish & chips) but nearby is Oporto and Subway.
The motel staff were very nice and welcoming. The location was ideal for us for our 1 night stay. The price was great and food was available from the bar and was nice. Very quiet
I've stayed at the Gateshead Tavern Motel many times in the last ten years as most of my family are in Newcastle. As such, I know what to expect in terms of comfort and price and helpful staff; easy access to your car and a great pub, bottle shop attached and close to the city.
The staff were beautiful and friendly, the food was excellent and it was in a convenient location. The rooms were clean and the beds were pretty comfy for a motel :)
We stayed for four days and the bedlinen and towels were changed every day, and a quick room clean as well,pretty amazing compared with other Motels we have stayed with where the room was not serviced at all over the same period. Also it was great being part of the Gateshead Tavern as we could chill out in the evening with a drink. The bar staff were very friendly and welcoming.
This budget accommodation Motel was exceptional value for money. The staff were super friendly and helpful. I would recommend this Motel for any group booking, nothing was too hard for Cal to help out with when the Canberra City Band stayed in multiple rooms over Easter.
Food and drinks are available on site and the Tavern is open 'til late so late check in is not a problem.
I would stay here again.
