Location was convenient; staff were friendly and helpful; room was comfortable
Both travelers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help make check-in quick and easy.
The motel is quite old and dated The room was very small. Some attempts have been made to renovate but it really needs more.
The bedding was thin and barely kept us warm The aircon is old and noisy
The room was spacious and they provided 2 single beds as requested. Location was a short walk from the town centre. bsolutely the best motel we have stayed in for a long time.
Very easy to get to. Free parking right outside the door. There was just a box with the keys in it and to get the key we simply had to enter our mobile number and voila! Very quick and easy. The shower is AMAZING! The A/C was already switched on, which was a nice touch. Comfy beds and pretty quiet, even though the motel is right in the middle of town. There is a microwave. All motels need this feature!
It's always a privilege to have the run of a cottage instead of a motel stay. Being able to catch up the laundry after more than a week on the road was an added bonus.
We have been on the road for several weeks now and the Red Earth Motel was the best accommodation so far. Spacious, confortable, clean. Everything you needed was supplied. I could have stayed a lot longer. We were on a main road but didn't hear any traffic noise. Also there wasn't noise from any neighboring rooms.
I have stayed 3 times at the Hill Top and it is my "go to" motel in fab Broken Hill. This time we got a newly renovated room which was very kind of the friendly owners Andrea and her husband. We enjoyed the interesting chats with them, too.
Overall Broken Hill is amazing, especially the Desert Park for sunset and near-by Silverton. The Silly Goat Cafe in the main street of BH gets my vote for good coffee and ambience, and for dinner we enjoyed a great plate at the Democratic Club.
All in all a memorable stay!
its position was fine for us right on the road through Broken Hill just pull off the road then in the morning straight back on the road. Also near clubs, cafes etc. for a meal, very handy motel.
