Lovely position, even though our room didn't have a view. It was wonderful to sit in the courtyard in the evening , to watch the sun set.

Fresh clean and comfortable renovated motel style room with ample lounge area and kitchenette. Easy parking at the front of the room. Easy use heating and cooling, and smart TV. Comfortable bed with crisp linen and extra blanket and pillows available. Great shower pressure and no issues with hot water. Easy walk along the lake front to the Warners Bay Hotel and the restaurants in Warners Bay shopping strip. Would stay here again.
Was easy access under the bridge to the lakeside walking path. Coffee hut at the front of the clock was very popular with locals and visitors (we didn't try). Also features a well rated teppanyaki restaurant in the block (again didn't visit).

Both travellers on the road and on a budget rely on motels for convenient stops with reasonable rates. Direct access to parking makes a motel an easy place to catch some sleep after a day of driving. The relatively smaller size of this accommodation type can also help to make check-in quick and easy.
The location was great. There was an excellent cafe at Mark's Point a few blocks away, and the motel was within easy walking distance to the lake.
I was surprised and delighted to find my bed had been made and fresh towels provided when I came back after walking my dog. During a 2-night stay this was unexpected.
The manager was very accommodating. He let me check in an hour or so early.
The grounds were very well maintained.
The staff were very efficient and friendly and the room was reasonably priced. My room was simple but very clean, quiet, comfortable and well appointed with plenty of on-site parking.
If needed, the bistro and bar downstairs has an excellent choice of food and beverages at reasonable prices, which is a big advantage over a motel. The hotel itself looks fresh, upbeat and modern.
Also, the location is convenient being on the highway and relatively close to the attractions of the Lake Macquarie area.
Totally loved that we could have our dog stay with us in this Motel. The room was comfortable and handy that it had a side couch for our dog to lie on (with his own blanket).
We have tried a few motels in the area, but we like Lake Macquarie Motor inn the best. Just seems to have all the things we like. As long as we can get a room for a reasonable price we'll keep coming back.
