Situated in Kumohara, 11 km from Choanji Temple, HOTEL GEN 福知山店 features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Perfect place and cheap room. But You need to take your food if You don't want to order special service. Rooms are spacious, bath is marvelous, room looks high standard.

Literally everything. The staff was nice, and despite not speaking English, tried hard to accommodate us. The room was a Japanese style inspired one. It was very spacious. They also offer amenities that are a nice touch (typically cosmetics for your skin, bath salt, yukata, etc). We were so happy with it that we decided to stay another night. We also had the possibility to leave our bags to go and visit during the day, which we deeply appreciated. Although it's a bit far from everything, there are a few convenience stores around, a train station and a few restaurants within walking distance.

Well situated in the Ukyo Ward district of Kyoto, Hotel Sagano (Adult only) is set 2.3 km from Arashiama Bamboo Grove, 4.4 km from Otagi Nenbutsu-ji Temple and 4.4 km from Katsura Imperial Villa. Great location. Easy to get around. The room was huge. The bed was the most comfortable we have slept in this trip. First time in one of these hotels and will do more. Fridge, microwave and breakfast. Hosts were so friendly and d picked us up and dropped us back to train station.

Location! Size of rooms. Clean. Friendly. Safe. Old-school hotel. There's no mold it's just in incense to cover up the smell of the zoo and pond near by. Highly recommended. Better than staying downtown and views of the moustain and shrine at night. And there's easy parking
