This is a love hotel. Expect condoms, sex toys and so on in the room, indeed a love hotel. We were unaware about this when we made our booking, which turned out quite interesting. I think booking.com should mark the hotel as a love hotel
Set within 14 km of Sendai City Community Support Center and 33 km of Shiogama Shrine, Hotel Luna Sendai -Adult Only offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Shimo-ayashi.
An adults-only hotel for short stays, most commonly rented for a few hours or overnight. Typically used for privacy and sexual activities, these hotels originate from Japan but can now be found worldwide.
Exceeded my expectations. I didn't realize love hotels are very wary of their customers privacy and instead of a front desk like at a hotel the front desk just has a small hole so you and the person working cannot see each other. The person working didn't really speak English so I had to use Google Translate and slide my phone through the hole and vice versa. Other than that it was a great stay! The room was really nice and plenty of amenities in it. Only downside is you can't lock the door on your room if you go out.
