We stayed here after finishing up a bike trip, and it was entirely perfect. The lodge was so lovely (we were actually the only guests that night) with so much space for us to sprawl out our selves and gear and reconfigure after a week of camping. Sandwiches at the sawmill were just what was needed. After a disappointing stay somewhere else at the beginning of our trip, this awesome place at nearly the same price was extra delightful.

Room was clean, pet friendly and private. When we checked in our desk gal was wonderful!! She stated she was pretty new, been there a couple weeks. We had an issue with out tv remote and she came to our room twice to help. We got it figured out. Good price and location! Wonderful pool and hot tub that we enjoyed. We will be back!

This hotel is located 15 minutes northeast of downtown Madison and the Wisconsin State Capitol. free Wi-Fi and rooms with a refrigerator and microwave. Front desk staff was a little unfriendly; the AC fan would shut off when it reached the correct temp., then would shut off and the room would get hot - there was no way to make it stay on; there is no breakfast available.
