This property was charming! It was close to attractions, quaintly decorated, and exceptionally clean! Our room was perfect for a lovely mother/daughter getaway! Our host Heidi was kind, friendly and accommodating! We especially enjoyed the upper room with its free “sunset” wine and lovely (cook to order) breakfast! We highly recommend the Artful Lodger!

We enjoyed the one evening we spent at the Ivy Lodge…. Recommendations for dinner and activities were great! Just wish we could have stayed longer!

Excellent breakfast. Excellent staffs and also deaf friendly due to well prepare to communicate with us. A nobleness lodge.

We Loved The Hot Tub. Room Was Clean And It Was Quiet. Staff Was Excellent! Room Had A Nice Décor Plus They Do Take A Deposit For The Room Which Is Refunded At The Time Of Check Out. The Deposit Is Not To Smoke In The Room. At The Time Of Check Inn They Let You Know The Rules. So We Just Smoked Out Side The Room. So That When People Who Never Smoked Goes In The Room Have No Problem. I Will Always Stay At The Classic Motor Lodge Because Best Hot Tub In Rhode Island.

This restored house has 6 unique rooms in a wonderful location in Newport. Free parking is available on site, a real perk in This town. Ron took care of everything associated with our stay from pre-arrival contact, to cooking breakfast for us, to great conversation and recommendations about Newport and it’s history. The Inn is located on a busy street so a first floor room can be a little noisy, although ear plugs were provided that we didn’t use. We had a lovely visit and won’t forget the Artful Lodger when we travel back through Newport.
