Free private parking is available on site. This place is so quaint in a great location. The staff are all so helpful and friendly, breakfast was so delicious with lots of options. Beds were comfy and they gave us extra fans to beat the heat! We stayed there with 3 kids and felt really safe and at ease. The ocean is really close along with the fish market. Lots of good places to eat close by as well.

We stayed in the 2bedroom villa, which is around 5mins from the Lodge. It was super clean, quiet and pretty. We had our own pool and a wonderful garden. For food and drinks we went to the lodge. Alcoholic drinks and dinner was very tasty. The yard and common area is very green and spacious with many spots/ cushions to chill. Overall, a great experience.

Me and my family we stayed four nights. This is my third time to come here. There's a lot of modifications. My family loves the cleanest of this place and their service in general we were so happy. And even the parking was great. I parked my car all days with peace of mind. California Lodge is a good option for those who are looking for a quite place. The price is so cheap only Tsh. 15,000/= per double bedroom per night. Anyway, service was amazing.
The rooms are nice, clean, and neat. The location is great, near the Bus Station Surrounded by a lot of supermarkets, shops, and restaurants and you can walk on foot towards the beach. The staff was very friendly. I enjoyed my stay there for 3 days. I recommend this lodge if you want to feel at home.
It is a great area for people who are looking for piece and quiet. The view from the terrace/bar is amazing. Real back to basic place with a warm welcoming host. Didnt try the breakfast as I was there only one night and heading for an early safari.
