Going here just for the fact that I know that the owner will wait for me even late (as I said at the reservation) and the fact that is clean, large enough, with parking and very well placed to the Transfagarasan (high alpine road)

Located in Arefu, next to the Transfăgărășan Road and 1 km from the Piscu Negru Ski Slope, Cabana Dara offers free barbecue facilities, a terrace and a restaurant. Free parking spaces are available nearby. the room was very nice and cozy. The staff was kind, even if the level of English was not good we managed to communicate.

Set in Cumpăna, on the shore of Vidraru lake, Cabana Cumpana boasts views of the mountains. Free WiFi is provided.

The accommodation is fitted with a TV. Bed linen is available. Some rooms are fitted with balconies. The most exquisite and wonderful hotel on our trip in Romania. The rooms have a mesmerising view of the wonderful lake. The room was decorated in old soviet style, and true to its heritage the bathroom was just a little bit mouldy.
