Great location for those who don't like being in the hustle and bustle of the city. It's easy and cheap to catch a collectivo (mini van) into the city of Hauraz.

I had a wonderful time at Fundo San Silvestre. Rose and Rogel are perfect hosts, knowledgeable, attentive, kind, and generous. Breakfast and dinner were excellent, home-cooked with local ingredients, fruits and avocado freshly picked from their garden. The rooms are clean and luminous, with balconies from which one can see the sun rising over the Cordillera Blanca.

Of all the places we stayed in Peru (17 in total), this was without a doubt our favorite ! Bely and George welcomed us warmly. They have created a beautiful little slice of paradise in Caraz and this was for us the perfect spot to end our holidays in this amazing country. Bely’s cooking was delicious (we highly recommend the “lomo saltado” ! ) and every morning we had a different kind of breakfast. George made us taste his homemade brews which were great after a day hike. Bely and George helped us organize our day trips to Laguna 69 and Laguna Paròn ! Truly a great experience and a great stay ! The accommodation was confortable, nicely decorated and very clean ! The shower had great pressure and warm water. All in all a perfect stay ! Thank you again Bely and George for your kindness and for your warm welcome ! We will fondly remember our karaoke night and the game of “sapo” ! Gracias para todo !

Offering a sun terrace and views of the mountain, The Lazy Dog Inn is situated 7 km from Huaraz, and 3,650 metres above sea level. Almost all units include a balcony and/or patio. Well, this is one of the very few occasions where the property largely exceeded our expectations. I travelled with my wife and daughter. Diana and Wayne were incredibly friendly and helpful. The staff was professionally trained and the facility really felt like home. The location is simply stunning, immersed in nature. The food was delicious, local and of great quality. On top of that I had to compete on a trail running international race and Diana and Wayne really helped me a lot ensuring everything I needed was arranged, from transportation to a lovely breakfast at 4am before the race. This family is an absolute hidden gem in that region! The first half of our trip was not smooth until we met them... Since the minute we were dropped off from the collectivo after crazy road ride from Yungay and saw welcoming hand wave everything has changed to completely opposite positive side! They've changed the whole mood of our adventure and gave us mental support we needed to finish what we have planned. I cannot describe this couple - you have to meet them! Extremely friendly, smart, fun, unique people who we did not want to leave neither for the night nor next morning! Not to mention their beautiful donkey Benicio that I fell in love with and gorgeous cat that most likely has a "blue blood".

Cuesta Serena is a boutique hotel offering accommodations with free WiFi access in common areas and mountain views in Anta-Huaraz. WOW this hotel blew us away. The new refurbishments were so beautiful, the designs were elegant and unique and the food was phenomenal. The healthy and delicious menu was the exact thing we were looking for before the huayhuash trek (still dreaming of the buddha bowl). What really set this property aside was the staff. We loved meeting and chatting to the team, they were really informative about the huayhuash trek as they had actually been guides in the past- this was so helpful for us and reassuring. This property is the perfect place to stay before or after any hiking/ trekking in Huaraz/ the Cordillera Blanca- I can't reccomend enough!

Featuring free WiFi access, CASONA LARA Lodge, Distillery and fields, offers accommodations in Caraz. The accommodation will provide you with a TV and cable channels. The hotel is beautiful, the grounds are lovely and the host was very pleasant and accommodating to change rooms for no extra charge when we found termites in the first room (number 7) The breakfast was good.
