Nice and cozy place. The host is absolutely excellent! It is equipped with laundry, which is really convenient. It could arrange a shuttle bus from hotel to Whakapapa ski field. Pretty chill place. Definitely wanna come back next time.

Garden seating near a stream. Use of a hot tub and sauna. Residents lounge was relaxing at the end of the evening. Good breakfast. Warm, friendly and informative owners.

Plateau Lodge is located 15 minutes’ drive from UNESCO World Heritage listed Tongariro National Park, where guests can enjoy skiing, hiking, cycling and paddling activities. Very comfy bed, good bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen and nice lounge to spend the time during the pouring rain. Also: Tina’s massage was amazing! If you have the chance: go for it.
