Aotea Lodge is a 10-minute drive from the ferry wharf and a 15-minute drive from Great Barrier Airport. There are natural hot springs located 12-km away. Shops, restaurants, cafes and pubs are within a short walk.
The lodge was a perfect setting for our stay, we fortunately had pretty awesome weather so could make good use of the lovely outdoor decks. Our apartment was clean and well set up. Fiona, our host, was friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The lodge itself is just a short walk from Tryphena Bay, with an easy visit to the pub, cafe and local store.
