Vollsnes Feriehus is situated in Hjelle, by Lake Strynevatnet, All accommodation options have a fully equipped kitchen and free WiFi. Some offer lake views. Stryn Ski Centre is 25 km away. We stayed in the "Strandkanten" ("Superior") chalet, which is one of 4 or 5 apartments, and probably the nicest of them all. The chalet itself, and particular the location at the lake across huge glacier-topped mountains, are simply the nicest you can wish for when staying on Norway. The apartment is large, very clean, with a complete and new interior. Close by are hiking trails to the Glomnes fossen, and as said the location at the lake is magnificent.

We so enjoyed Lucie's fine French vegetarian dinner (the veggie part was our request) and our walks in the gorgeous, secluded, glacier area, which for us included a vivid rainbow at the base of a waterfall. Truly a memorable joy.

The house is located on a hill with a beautiful view of nature. The area has ski trails and numerous trails for mountain hiking with many beautiful and surprising places along the way. And the best part of it- stunning view. You have good options to choose a cottage: a smaller ones and for big companies. We had 4 bedrooms that was very convenient for our company of 5.
