Ambong Rainforest Retreat offers an adult-only getaway amidst tropical surroundings. Located on a steep hill within the rainforest, rooms are only accessible via long staircases. It is a 4-minute drive from Pantai Cenang, a 15-minute drive from Langkawi Airport and a 30-minute drive from Kuah Town. This property is entirely unique. A stone’s throw from bustling Pantai Tengah, it is amazing how detached you can feel from the rest of the world when nestled in your canopy up in the rainforest. I came here for much needed relaxation after lots of travel, and Ambong delivered! It was so serene to sit on my terrace overlooking the distant water, watching the hornbills and monkeys. Breakfast was delicious and I also enjoyed dinner both nights at the Rimba restaurant. I also enjoyed a massage at the spa, and highly recommend it! The real cream of this experience was the staff who were so very kind and attentive. I will be back!

Beautiful one of a kind stay in an eco lodge. Beautiful location, very relaxing taking in the views and open air layout of the communal leisure/recreational zone. Perfectly situated away from the busy parts of town but still central enough for all parts of the island to remain accessible.

So close to being a great stay. Room was large and very nicely decorated.
Can’t thank Mama Yati and Mas enough for their amazing hospitality! They both picked up and dropped us off at the airport making it a very smooth stay. You’re right by the wonderful (but busy) beach, full of many activities to choose from! Tours to the nearby islands are provided by Yati and Mas, they also provided many leaflets to look through and lots of advice for the best things to see and do! If you stay at the Langkawi Country Lodge, you will be very well looked after!
It was a perfect stay! We feel like home with the family. The lodge is very close to the beach and fare from the airport. The host take me to a celabration for hari raya and it was amazing. Thanks (terima kasih) to mama, dad, lysa and yassir 🩷. If I have the chance to come back to Langkawi it will be here definitly 🫶🏾
Super week spent at Ranis lodge, You will need transport if you wish to explore the island. Ranis Lodge has no restaurant but you will find lots of eating choices a short drive away Staff were very helpful during our stay. Patrick & Brenda
It is a beautiful place, I arrived just in time to watch the sunset and they offered me a welcome drink which was great and I enjoyed the wonderful views and the company of some sweet little cats. Afterwards I went to the room which was a typical wooden house, super spacious, tastefully decorated and clean. Has everything you need. Dinner at the restaurant was delicious. Located just a short ride from the airport. I highly recommend this place for your stay in Langkawi.
A stay at Ocean Lodge reinforces that the simple things in life are often the best! The accommodation is spotlessly clean and the “traveler support services” are second to none! Didi & Nanthi’s help on where to go and what to see is outstanding. You really feel part of the family here. I feel we’ve made lasting connections from our stay here. If you like staying in neat, clean accommodation where you feel like a name and not just a room number stay at Ocean Lodge. Highly recommended!
Great ambience I had such a wonderful time there, should have extended my stay on hindsight. Papa Mas and Mama Yati gave exceptional hospitality very sweet people , even helped to book my mangrove tour :-) Met some nice people at the lodge too. Thank you both and hope to be back!
Nice old wooden houses, well preserved. Not too dense located with a lot of vegetation.
Lodge is located walking distance to the beach and restaurants

We spent one full week at Berjaya, in one of their jungle lodges. Perfect location, perfect beach. The nature is amazing. Extremely nice staff in the restaurants and at the spa.
