Located 17 km from Galgamuwa Railway Station, The Loft by the Lake provides accommodation with a garden, a terrace and a 24-hour front desk for your convenience. Loft by the Lake offered the most peaceful time in rural Sri Lanka, surrounded by beautiful tanks and paddy fields. Situated in an idyllic spot by the Ehetuwewa tank, the Loft was cosy and comfortable with great views of the surrounding area. The caretakers, Mahinda and Sunitha looked after all our needs with a smile. They made sure that we had delicious Sri Lankan meals and also accompanied us to a quiet spot to watch the sunset and to find the best bathing spots. Because there was no light pollution, the night skies were beautiful! And the dawn chorus offered us the most unusual bird calls! Bird life was in abundance and a family of Grey Hornbills (alu kadatta) flying right in front of our eyes was a fascinating experience :) We will be back soon to explore more!

Coco Eco Lodge is situated in Melsiripura and offers a garden and a restaurant. This lodge features free private parking, room service and free WiFi. A car rental service is available at the lodge. An „insider‘s tip“ for travelers who will appreciate a beautiful and authentic home-stay a little off the mainroad, surrounded by Sri Lankan nature. We found this place by chance, when our tuk-tuk-trip from Negombo to Sigiriya got too long and we decided to take a break. Next time around, we will definitely come here again on purpose. Wajira and his beautiful family have welcomed us with open arms and open doors. We felt at home very quickly because of their friendliness. We enjoyed the Sri Lankan food, interacting with the family and the whole atmosphere. Thank you for everything!
