The very friendly staff and clean and spacious house with pretty lakeview. In the morning breakfast was delivered to the house at a time you could specify upon checkin. Also the pushkart in the house to transfer your luggage from the car parking was a nice addition. Very well equiped kitchen.

We loved everything about this cottage (except the check-in/pre-check in automated emails). The location and view is simply amazing! The staff are very friendly and accommodating, but also not overbearing. They showed us around the cottage and told us the rules, and then left us alone. The communication with Daiko was also very good and professional. The cottage itself has everything one could need to enjoy a quiet, relaxing, but luxurious few days in the mountains. The wifi was a bit spotty at times, but for how remote this place is, it's actually very good wifi, so it's really not a problem. The terrace area was our favorite place, and we liked that, although there is another cottage next door, there is a privacy fence between the two cottages and we didn't hear the occupants of the other cottage at all (and hopefully they didn't hear us). If this cottage weren't so far from Osaka, I would want to come and stay for a few weeks in the summer time just to enjoy a gorgeous place and contemplate the wonders of nature from that lovely terrace! We definitely would like to come back! It exceeded our expectations and is even better than the photos on the booking site! Just amazing! Thank you to everyone at Mt Ichibata Cottage!
